    Goo-Goo Hands is a unique course covering the communication exploration efforts in Baby Sign Language for infants and toddlers from 7months to 3years of age. As rapid communication changes occur, Goo-Goo Hands assists to explore a creative way to influence communication development. Emphasis is placed on the needs of each family and consists of four theme-based classes offered over a 4-week period. Each week families learn useful signs through fun songs, books and activities.     Youth Beginning Karate: 4:30-5:15 pm
    This class will cover basic blocking and self-defense. Class is conducted in a traditional manner with emphasis on protocol and etiquette. Ages: 6-12 yrs.

    Youth Advanced Karate: 5:15-6 pm
    This class will go more in-depth in the study of Karate and will include traditional Karate as well as preparation for National and International competition for the students who want to compete. Placement in this class is at the discretion of Sensei McDonough. Ages: 8-12 yrs.

    Adult Karate: 6-7 pm
    This class will cover all aspects of Karate; the lecture portion of class is designed for individuals ages 13 yrs. & up. Placement in this class is at the discretion of Sensei McDonough.

    Join us for an evening of live comedy right here in RSM! Line up will feature local comedian Mark Schumacher and friends - all with impressive tv credits! Mark was born and raised in Orange County and is a former Santa Margarita Catholic High School teacher. He now performs comedy - as well as speaks to school teachers - all across the county. In 2015 he was selected as one of the top 100 comedians in the country and performed on NBC’s Last Comic Standing. He’s been featured in the The Orange County Register and written comedy for the Los Angeles Times. His unique experiences teaching - abroad for elementary students and in California as a high school teacher - in addition to traveling all over the world provide endless laughs. Grab some friends or neighbors to laugh with, or make it a date night! Doors will open at 7:00pm. Seating will be first come, first serve so arrive by 7:00pm to grab a seat! Ages: 18 years and older.     160613 - Disaster Survival - Roads are closed & phones don’t work, what now?

    The question is not if a disaster will happen, but when? With students at school, and parents at work, how will you all find each other? Do you currently have a plan? This course will assist you and your family in creating a disaster plan including how to get home, supplies necessary for a personal “bug out bag”, and how to shelter in place. You will also gain hands-on basic first aid skills such as CPR, how and when to use an AED, splinting and how to control bleeding. But first, we have to get you home, and using some basic urban survival skills like how to use a map (and not the one on your phone because it won’t work!), and how to find drinkable water, you will get home to your family and loved ones. All attendees will also receive a CPR face barrier for their key-chain.

    It is an unfortunate truth, active shooter incidents are on the rise. Whether you are at school, the mall, a concert in the park, or the movie theater...do you know how to protect yourself and your family from an active threat? In this class, we will discuss “situational awareness” and how it can save your life. We will talk about and practice the” Run, Hide, Fight” philosophy. I will show you how to evaluate any room and and quickly identity what can be used to protect yourself and your family. You will gain hands-on experience performing CPR, controlling bleeding, use of an AED, and general first aid. And finally, once the threat has been neutralized, how to appropriately conduct yourself once authorities arrive. All attendees will also receive a CPR face barrier for their key-chain.
